Space Talk with Claude Nicollier
Meet Switzerland's first astronaut in person.
An Evening with Claude Nicollier ATTENTION: DAY AND EVENING
What’s it like to look at Earth from space? What challenges does a space mission entail? And what impressions last a lifetime?
On this special evening, you’ll meet Switzerland’s first astronaut, Claude Nicollier, in person. Once you arrive at Space Eye, your journey begins with an impressive live show in the planetarium. Afterward, during a short break with roasted chestnuts, you’ll have time to settle in, enjoy the special atmosphere, and jot down your questions for Claude Nicollier.
The highlight of the evening is Claude Nicollier’s talk. He’ll take you along on his missions into space and share moving moments, technical challenges, and experiences that only a few people have ever had the chance to experience firsthand. He’ll also address selected questions from the audience and offer personal insights into his life as an astronaut.
After the talk, the evening winds down in a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy a warming soup and a delicious dessert, chat with Claude Nicollier in person, and explore the Space Eye’s interactive exhibition. If the sky is clear, the telescope will conclude the evening by offering you a glimpse into the vastness of the universe that Claude Nicollier once explored himself.
An inspiring evening that uniquely combines space travel, astronomy, and personal encounters.
